Level 3 Unit 1 - ai, a-e, ay
It’s time to get started. This week we are going to split the unit over two weeks.
Why? Because I want you to have success.
This is new for you and your child and I want you to have the chance to get used to the strategies and build a routine that works for you.
You have already done your first session live so you can jump straight into the daily practice video or you can repeat the lesson using the first lesson of the week video and then move on to daily practice.
Remember this week you are only doing the ai, a-e, ay digraph which means two columns of words, 2 sets of comprehension and 2 days of syllabification.
Let’s do this.

Level 3 Unit 2 - ar, a and ow, o-e, oa
Congratulations for finishing your first two weeks of the program. This week you have the choice you can continue to do one grapheme family in a week (half a unit) or you can jump in and complete a whole unit, two grapheme families in a week.
How do you know which option will work best for your child. Easy, if you get to the end of the first two days and they are not hitting the time targets for day 1 and day 2 then stick to half a unit. Remember giving your child time to master each skill is a priority.
If you are unsure what to do send us a message and we will help you out.
Happy Reading!
Tracey.

Level 3 Unit 3 - ee, ea, e-e, ie and oy, oi
Lets get stuck into the ee sound. We have a lot of ways to write and read ee. We are going to focus on the four that give us the majority of words. Some of the other ways to make ee will come up in other units like y at the end makes ee in sunny. Jump in and learn ee. Make sure you practice each strategy as they help to build the bridge in the brain. Also this week we have a special video on "No English word ever ends in V."
The First Lesson of the Week - ee in tree, ea in leaf, e-e in Pete, ie in brief
3 units completed already. You are powering ahead.
This week e starting with the or sound. Something you need to know about the or sound is that we really need to get at the code. Remember language is a code, a code that humans created about 6000 years ago. Aw in law is a great example the two letters on their own say a and w but together they say or.
Let’s do this.
The First Lesson of the Week 3B - or in fork, aw in paw and au in sauce.
So we are at the point when our code starts to get complicated. With both of these sound we are saying one thing but writing something else. We say s but write c. It doesn’t really make sense!
